I’m not sure about you, but I’m thankful to be finished with the gorge part of this trip (writing-wise, I could spend days more exploring them in person!). They are a PAIN to photograph and to edit said photos. The lighting is terrible and the red hues tend to blend like crazy. I did find my new camera handled the conditions far better than my previous, and shooting with RAW files helped bring a lot of highlights and shadows under control as I could tweak the photo quite a bit more on the computer than previously. Anyways, now things head back towards the glorious Western Australian beaches.

Goodbye to Karijini
The next morning came and we packed up our gear. We were taking off towards Broome once again, with one final hike and swim in Karijini. This time we’d be visiting the majestic Fortescue Falls in the Dales Gorge.
Karijini Continues…
After our filling lunch we ventured out for the afternoon – this time in pursuit of Weano and Hancock Gorges. Of first gorge of the afternoon would be Weano Gorge.
The Next Morning in Karijini
Bright and early the next morning saw us descending into our second gorge in Karijini – this time it was down to Knox Gorge. We’d be spending the entire morning here, hiking and swimming.
A Taste of Karijini National Park
Turquoise Bay Day
For our day in Exmouth we had a free day, though all of us opted to join in the guided activity – head out to Turquoise Bay for a day relaxing in the sun and surf. As expected the scenery was once again sublime.
